EastCoast Classic 2008
Kickboxing Champions:
This past weekend in
Gaffney South Carolina the EastCoast
Classic had its first debut in South
Carolina. This was the 7th annual ECC.
The event was moved to South Carolina
from Va. Beach Va. due to scheduling and
venue dates and times issues. So this
was a trial for the South Carolina
promoter Gary Frazier in only his second
Kickboxing promotion. Gary also promoted
the first Southeast Classic in 2007. He
is building a nice name for himself with
all the hard work he has put into the
two nice venues he has promoted. Nobody
left this past event upset. The trophies
were (4) foot tall and they went to the
exhibition winners. The Night Time
finals Champions received awesome belts.
The venue is HUGE, with BIG screens on
both sides of the ring and plenty of
room to move around. Real nice ring with
TV above the ri ng looking down into the
ring. While the fights were going on you
could see them from North Carolina with
the two huge screens on both sides of
the stage. Top Teams from GA. Va. S.C.
and N.C. and AL. The Top Kickboxing Team
this year was Team Smith from Va. Beach
Va. taking home (9) Championships out of
(10) fighters they brought. Next year
Gary says it will be NICER. The WKKO
officials have already decided that Gary
will be running the ECC 2009. Thanks to
his hard work look for next Years ECC
and support Gary take advantage of one
of the TOP VENUES in the East. The
